About Us
Shanara, Lda, a family-owned company based in Mangualde, Viseu, was founded in 2004 and is dedicated exclusively to the marketing of its own brand in the textile sector, following more than 50 years of experience in the same sector in the area of garment manufacturing and 15 years in brand marketing. Since 2017, it has focused exclusively on the promotion and management of its own and family-owned tourist accommodations in Portugal: Mangualde, Tondela, Figueira da Foz, and Porches, where it offers 3 apartments, 2 single-family homes, and 1 tourist resort.
Team
Aida co-founded Shanara, Lda, in 2004 and holds a master’s degree in marketing from I.PA.M. Since 2017, she has been the host of Shanara, Lda’s Local Accommodations, a human resources manager, and a consultant in the fields of textile marketing and tourism. Before founding Shanara, Lda, she was a marketing manager at a company in the textile (apparel) sector, where she created a brand that is still recognized in the Portuguese market today.
Rui has been the manager of Shanara, Lda. since 2018 and an architect since 2014; he holds a master’s degree from Lusíada University. He began his career as a self-employed architect and spent a brief period at a technology subsidiary of the Visabeira Group as Operations Manager, from which he left to found his own company, Suitable Sketch – Architecture and Services, which developed and manages Casa do Sepião — a rural tourism venture and family-owned country house located in Vinhal, Tondela.
